On Monday, we left the south rim and moved to the north rim. We had no idea what to expect, but were excited to see the new view of the canyon. What a difference there was between the rims! While the south rim is very populated and commercialized (to an extent), the north rim is more rustic and classic. We stayed in the Pioneer Cabins which were like little Lincoln Log homes. If I went back to the canyon, I would definitely spend the majority of my time on the north rim. It was much more peaceful and slower paced. The cabin was so quaint and obviously had been updated recently. We really didn't want to leave, but it was time to head to our next destination!
Today, we drove to Bryce Canyon which is in Utah. We were amazed by the change of scenery and the abundance of red rock around here (although, the scenery changes have been indescribable throughout the trip). We are camping at the Bryce Valley KOA and are really enjoying our stay here. We hiked to Mossy Cave today and spent some time splashing around a cool spring. Tomorrow, we will venture into the Bryce Canyon National Park and hopefully to Zion National Park on Thursday. We will be camping here through Friday. More later! -Pati
